The Cantors
The Immanuel Cantors is a small vocal ensemble that endeavors
to bring a variety of choral music to uplift the worship at Immanuel Baptist
Church, reflecting the international heritage of the congregation.
The Cantors have two focuses: to provide types of special music different from
what church choir offers, increasing the diversity in the music used to praise
the Lord in our church, and to sing in harmony with the praise & worship
team to uplift our corporate worship each week.
The Cantors rehearse weekly, Friday
evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 PM, ten months
per year (with summer and winter breaks). Always expanding their musical abilities
and experience, they undertake vocal and ear training and a broad range of music,
working in mutual respect and care, keeping ever present our joy in Christ.
