Blitz Weekend:

The IBC youth went on a mini-spiritual retreat a couple of weeks ago. We had such an awesome time!

We met at the Palacio de Hielo, and went bowling! It was hard for a few of us to get the hang of bowling, but among the group there were some pros too, who kindly helped out! After a lot of help, we ate dinner in various places. Some of us chose McDonalds, and others chose a quiet stop at Starbucks. What ever it was, there were smiles all round.

Tired, and ready for sleep we went back to houses, and divided up in our small groups. Small groups are the groups we pray with each week. There we had a time of devotion, and reflected on things, before a lot of fun, and no sleep!

Some of us called other groups, while others decided to break out hip-hop dancing, or talk and giggle for hours. Just a few hours later, the sun rose, and I think for many of us, the amount of sleep was scarce.

In the morning, we had another devotion, and breakfast, before going to the church to do a service project!!!

Each with different roles, we cleaned the church while having fun, because we were all together. Whether it was cleaning the crèche, bathrooms or fridge, there was laughter all around.

Slowly our parents came in one by one to collect us, or some of us caught buses, and the day finished up.

For me one of the best parts of the BLITZ was being with like minded Christian friends, who want to learn the same things as I do!
